Body Bags (VHS)

”Body Bags” is a quirky little anthology horror film that was originally intended to be a pilot episode for a TV series that ultimately got cancelled before it even started. It consists of three shirt stories directed by John Carpenter and the late Tobe Hooper. Even though not perfect, this is still a pretty fun movie in the spirit of ”Creepshow” and ”Tales from the Crypt” with some memorable moments and good performances. The stories are a bit uneven though and very different in both tone and atmosphere and that can be quite off-putting at times. Third and final segment ”Eye” by Tobe Hooper is definitely my favorite and easily the best of the three.
