The Blob (Blu-ray)

“SCREAM NOW WHILE THERE’S ROOM TO BREATHE... TERROR HAS NO SHAPE!” I just watched this film for the first time last October, and it immediately soared way up the list of my all time favorite classic horror remakes. What a absolutely fantastic flick this one is! It’s was on my list for who knows how many years, and for one reason or another I never got around to seeing it. I was sorely missing out. This movie has it all. Ridiculous, cliche, goofy bad boy lead with a screaming mullet, the flyest leather jacket, and an overall vibe of a poor man’s James Hurley 😎. Sudden and surprisingly vicious deaths, killer special effects that have aged gracefully and still look amazing today, gooey gore galore... what more does one need? For me, The Blob 1988 is an instant classic and will be on the yearly watch list in a permanent capacity! 🤘🤘🤘As always, @shoutfactory has put put out a ridiculously comprehensive release with awesome art, dizzying special features, and of course, that sexy slip. I can’t speak for what the film has looked like in the last, but I was particularly surprised by how good the picture is, it looks like a damn near new movie. How about all of you?
