1917 (Blu-ray + 4K UHD)

Hello again all! It’s a quiet (like, apocalypse quiet!) day over here in the Bay Area, and to be honest, after the last few weeks I need it 😂 That said, it doesn’t mean we can’t make some noise with the arrival of one of the most acclaimed films of 2019, the WWI epic, 1917. Sam Mendes has apparently created what is nearly universally considered one of the best war films ever, and certainly within the last few decades. By my measure that honor currently belongs to Paths of Glory or Band of Brothers (I know, it’s a series, but it’s as cinematic an experience as any!), so I’m excited to see how this one turns out. A few other favorites are Dunkirk, Hacksaw Ridge, The Thin Red Line, and Patton to name a few. How about all of you? Have you seen 1917? What’s your favorite war film? Let’s chat!
