All right, now that we’ve had a few days of John Carpenter celebration, knocked off a couple of entries in my concurrent Mad Max marathon, and watched a few new essential pickups, it’s time to return to the last entries in my recent View Askewniverse marathon. Next up is the utterly insane, full throttle stupid, magnificently over the top, lower than low brow epic, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! This movie is the literal definition of ridiculous, and it’s specific brand of relentless, gross, absurd humor certainly isn’t for everyone. To me, this feels like the first greatest hits of this universe, mixed with the pure essence of Jay’s very first rant at the beginning of Clerks. Unapologetic, silly, and not very good... this movie is FANTASTIC!!! I love it far more now than on original viewing, and it makes me all the more excited to revisit Clerks II and soon, watch Jay and Silent Bob Reboot for the first time 😁😎🤘 How’s every doing this awesome Saturday morning???
