Sphere (Blu-ray)

Time for a quick spotlight on this epic underwater thriller double feature!💧💧💧There are so many awesome films in this particular sub genre of horror/thriller, and like space, the dark, seemingly endless depths and inky blackness of the deep ocean lends itself well to atmospheric terror. Both of these films are excellent in their own right, Leviathan as a criminally underrated late 80’s Peter Weller fronted creature feature, and Sphere as a criminally underrated late 90’s psychological mystery thriller... undersea. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say these are some of my favorite films, and both of them are so, so much better than their reputation and critical receptions suggest. Massive fan of both, I think I’ll go ahead and give Sphere another spin 🤘😎🤘
