Hey everyone! I hope, as always, that’s you’re all having a killer week. As I was unwinding after another day of work, I finally got around to watching the trailer for Train to Busan 2, AKA: Peninsula. I must say that, despite really enjoying the original film as a self contained zombie epic of the best possible kind, and being very skeptical of the need for a follow up, they really seem to have captured a similar tone and essence for the sequel, only amped up to 11. After it ended, I started thinking about another favorite film set on a train, the post apocalyptic modern classic, Snowpiercer. Then Source Code came to mind, followed by Transsiberian... and on and on and on! I didn’t really realize it until this... TRAIN of thought... but there is literally an entire sub genre of awesome train films. How did I never see this before? I may be late to this realization, but I damn well intend on showing off my epic train film collection and fill in some of the essential titles I’m missing soon. Desert island, gun to temple favorite train film? It’s a close call between Snowpiercer and Train to Busan, but I’ve gotta award the win to Snowpiercer 🤘How about all of you? What’s your favorite film set on a train???
