Alien + Covenant (Blu-ray + 4K UHD)

So after my 987328th watch of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi-horror classic Alien, one of my top ten favorite films, I thought I’d post this themed snapshot of the original classic, and most recent... seprequel, Alien: Covenant. Personally, it would take a borderline miracle for anyone to make a compelling case for Alien: Covenant even being on the same level as it’s progenitor, but I will admit it has grown on me slightly over subsequent viewings. As mentioned, the original is one of my all time favorite films, and it was really tough to divorce myself from the fact that this is a very different Ridley Scott than 40 years ago. That said, as a sort of Alien film connected to Prometheus (incredible film), it was okay. Lots of thrilling sci-fi violence, and despite some clunky Prometheus lore, it definitely tries to recapture some of the back to basics horror of the seminal classic. What about all of you???
