Halloween H20 (Blu-ray)

“THIS SUMMER... TERROR WON’T BE TAKING A VACATION” All right then, now it’s time for the Halloween franchise to return to form... for the first time anyway 😂😅😁 Against all odds, Halloween H20 is actually an excellent sequel to the classic original film and it’s much loved (by many 😅) follow up Halloween II, boldly jettisoning all other entries and focusing on a traumatized Laurie Strode and her rematch with the infamous Haddonfield slayer. I mean, what’s not to love? We’ve got a fully committed, fully utilized Jamie Lee Curtis (yes, she DOES spend time outside of a hospital bed this time around!), digging deep to add previously nonexistent texture and gravitas to her iconic character. We’ve got super early appearances from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Hartnett, Michelle Williams, AND in the franchise first stab at adding a hip hop icon to spice up the proceedings, we have the one and only LL Cool J in the mix. Michael Myers is back to his old intimidating, specter self, and there’s a wealth of great kills and tense, even close to scary moments. All in all, a great entry and a fantastic return to form. Too bad they couldn’t keep the momentum going... because we all know what happens after Myers’s... Resurrection... 😅😅😅 How did you all like this one?
