The Hills Have Eyes 1 + 2 Unrated (Blu-ray)

All right, time for something with a little more punch. The Hills Have Eyes is one of the more visceral, effective, downright gnarly horror remakes out there, and one I revisit every time I want to guarantee to mess someone’s night up, or get my heart rate soaring. It’s sequel, while clearly a bit more conservative in its budget, with a slightly less likable cast, is also pretty great in its own way. Both films revel in their wince inducing, difficult to stomach, all encompassing nihilism, and if that’s your thing, these films will scratch that itch like few others.
