Hitman Unrated (Blu-ray)

Hey all! Time for a little detour back to the mid to late 2000’s, in a wondrous and enchanting time of phenomenal actors performing their hearts and souls away at the head of mediocre video game films. Ahhh, what times they were. Where you could see the always charIsmatic Mark Wahlberg and sublime Timothy Olyphant slumming it up in these iconic adaptations of then popular, always edgy, hard boiled action franchises. Let’s face it, both of these films suck, but to be honest, I love them both. They did the best they could taking a crack at what continues to be one of the most mystifying puzzles in the entertainment industry: how do we make a decent video game film? I’d argue Silent Hill, Mortal Kombat, and the original Resident Evil (for all its faults) qualify, but the point stands. Anyone remember these? How did you like them?
