The Wind Rises (Blu-ray)

Just a quick shot showing off my updated copy of The Wind Rises from Shout Factory via GKIDS. As you all know, I love this label, and buy everything they put out without a second thought about it. The Wind Rises is get another soul crushingly beautiful animated experience from the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, and it ranks towards the middle top of the Studio Ghibli canon. I’m mostly stoked to own the second edition due to the immense satisfaction my OCD gets to experience. Now if ONLY GKIDS would release Grave of the Fireflies, the set would be complete! Any fans of this film? Do you buy multiple copies of the same film? Why? What compels you? For me, it’s OCD/completionism. I love a good complete, uniform set. I enjoy the films, but since we’re collecting them physically, there’s more than just the content of the discs that we take into account. For me, it’s these reasons and probably way more. @shoutfactory
