Let’s revisit @jakkstoys 2nd and 3rd Metroid releases. They are the 2.5” figure and its variant. The first one released as a standard carded blister. It has no articulation but comes with a stand and its shell is made of soft vinyl like the 6” figure. Some time later the same figure released in checkout lane packaging but this time had a hard shell. Each variant has its pros and cons to me. I like the soft vinyl of the first release because it’s seamless and more true to a Metroid, but I really like the deep vibrant color of the hard shelled figure.
