Just finished watching ”Explorers”. Joe Dante’s mid 80’s scifi/adventure comedy is an enjoyable but fairly unbalanced experience that has a lot of fun moments but it also feels a little disorienting and poorly narrated at times. Despite its shortcomings I really loved the lighthearted tone of the film and the characters are quite likeable too. Overall ”Explorers” is a fun movie but it had potential to be a lot better and that’s propably one of the reasons it’s not as widely appreciated as many other 80’s adventure comedies😊 Gerade mit dem Anschauen von ”Explorers” fertig geworden. Joe Dantes Sci-Fi/Abenteuer-Komödie aus den mittleren 80er-Jahren ist ein unterhaltsames, aber recht unausgewogenes Erlebnis, das viele lustige Momente hat, aber sich auch manchmal ein wenig desorientierend anfühlt und schlecht erzählt wirkt. Trotz ihrer Mängel liebe ich den humorvollen Ton des Films und die Charaktere sind auch recht sympathisch. Insgesamt ist ”Explorers” ein Fun-Movie, aber es hatte Potenzial, deutlich besser zu sein, und das ist wahrscheinlich einer der Gründe dafür, dass es nicht so weithin geschätzt wird wie viele andere 80er-Abenteuerkomödien😊
