Allright all, tonight I’m going to end the evening with something familiar, a little bit of well worn cinematic comfort food. This time around I decided on one of the more nostalgic flicks from my childhood in the form of the absolutely killer comic book adaptation and cult classic fantasy horror film The Crow. No matter how many times I see it, it’s always a winning choice, and simply never, ever gets old! Brandon Lee is at the tip top of his game here as the tortured Eric Draven, which makes his untimely demise sting even more, knowing he was really developing as an actor. The film is just GORGEOUS, with incredible, at times jaw dropping set design, makeup, and costumes. Of course the action is a bit dated now, as are some of the cheesier characters, but those elements only increase the charm as far as I’m concerned. This is and always will be a childhood favorite of mine. Any other fans??? What’s your favorite film in The Crow series? Mine is the first, but Salvation isn’t half bad!
