„THERE’S SOMETHING EVIL HIDING IN THE WOODS!” I love a good found footage film, and that’s ironic considering I didn’t particularly love the original Blair Witch Project, the one that started it all. Yes, I know there were found footage horror films before, but you all know what I mean. The original changed the game for the genre forever, and inspired enough copy cats to nearly destroy the entire style within a few years of its mass popularity boom. That said... I absolutely LOVED this long awaited third film. I know I’m in the minority, that is most definitely clear, but it is what it is, and I’m not ashamed. I thought the film was tense, eerie, well paced, with a palpable feeling of dread that permeated the entire proceedings. I loved the gradual progression of terror that slowly creeps up on the viewer, with just the right amount of “action” to keep things tense and moving. Sometimes you just see things differently than the majority, and in this case I just loved this one. What about you? Any fans of this long gestating sequel that no one asked for?
