All right, time for something with a little more punch. The Hills Have Eyes is one of the more visceral, effective, downright gnarly horror remakes out there, and one I revisit every time I want to guarantee to mess someone’s night up, or get my heart rate soaring. It’s sequel, while clearly a bit more conservative in its budget, with a slightly less likable cast, is also pretty great in its own way. Both films revel in their wince inducing, difficult to stomach, all encompassing nihilism, and if that’s your thing, these films will scratch that itch like few others. The Hills Have Eyes è uno dei remake horror più viscerali, efficaci e decisamente folli là fuori, e uno che rivedo ogni volta che voglio garantire di rovinarlo la serata di qualcuno, o far salire il mio battito. Il suo seguito, sebbene chiaramente con un budget leggermente più conservativo, con un cast leggermente meno amabile, è comunque piuttosto grande a modo suo. Entrambi i film esaltano il loro nihilismo che provoca grovigli, difficile da digerire, tutto-encompassing, e se è una tua cosa, questi film soddisferanno quel bisogno come pochi altri.
