"Mountaintop Motel" aka "Mountaintop Motel Massacre" VHS

Just rewatched "Mountaintop Motel" aka "Mountaintop Motel Massacre". I clearly remember watching this film as a kid and being absolutely horrified and it actually gave me nightmares for a few days. Sadly that's not the effect over 20 years later and the film feels mediocre at best. I enjoyed the atmosphere but the story lacks tension and it gets a bit tedious as there's nothing too original going on. For me "Mountaintop Motel" is worth a watch for obvious nostalgic reasons but I can't really recommend it for others. I also think it's kinda funny that they just slapped an image of the Bates Motel on the cover of this VHS😊 Juuri uudelleenkatsonut "Mountaintop Motel" aka "Mountaintop Motel Massacre". Muistan selvästi katsoneeni tämän elokuvan lapsena ja olleeni täysin kauhistunut, ja se aiheutti minulle painajaisia muutaman päivän. Valitettavasti se ei ole sama vaikutus yli 20 vuodessa ja elokuva tuntuu keskinkertaiselta parhaimmillaan. Pidin tunnelmasta, mutta tarina kaipaa jännitettä ja se käy hieman puuduttavaksi, kun mikään todella omaperäinen ei ole meneillään. Minulle "Mountaintop Motel" on katsomisen arvoinen selkeiden nostalgiaärsykkeen vuoksi, mutta en oikeastaan suosittele sitä muille. Lisäksi minun on aika hauskaa, että he vain iski Bates Motel -kuvan tämän VHS-kannen päälle😊
