Time for another quick detour from the current proceedings, I thought I’d round out the night and my weekend with a trip back down memory lane. This all time great Wes Craven family classic needs no introduction. This is hands down one of the most visceral, disturbing, effective horror films of its era, and is without a doubt one of the ones that stuck with me the longest. I’m also a huge fan of the remake and it’s sequel, one of the few remade classics along with Friday the 13th and The Evil Dead that is damn near as good as, and at times superior to the original.
