Retro collecting has its own vocabulary. Conversations in forums, listings on marketplaces, and grading reports use shorthand that's second nature to experienced collectors – but can be confusing if you're newer to the hobby.

A grading term indicating that an item includes all original components: box, cartridge or disc, manual, and any additional inserts.
On Golisto, payment is held securely after a buyer pays and is not released to the seller until delivery is confirmed. Funds are released within 5–7 business days of confirmed delivery.
An unofficial copy of an original game cartridge designed to look like the real thing. Must be clearly disclosed in listings.

The instruction booklet included with original game releases. A key component for CIB grading.
An item that has never been used or opened, but was not necessarily factory-sealed.
The video standard used in North America and Japan. See also: PAL.
The video standard used in Europe and Australia. PAL games and consoles are the European collector's primary market.
The electronic board inside a cartridge or console. PCB condition and markings can help verify authenticity.

An item in its original, unopened factory packaging with the original seal intact. The highest condition grade.
