I became a journalist because I didn't want to rely on newspaper for information.
As a professional journalist I am happy to compete against thousand of amateur bloggers out there reporting and commenting on the same stories as I do. Anyone with a smartphone is a potential eyewitness cameraman capturing and transmitting stories at speeds that turn photos and traditional reporting into, well... Yesterdays news!
