Primal Rage (Game Boy - Probe Software - 1995 - EUR)

I never liked this franchise, the premises looks silly (well, sillier than usual), the game looks gross, and the characters were not appealing to me. The Game Boy port retains all this elements, but it was programmed by the same guy that did Mortal Kombat II on the same console, so at least the game runs properly. It came out in 1995, that might explain why MK3 was developed by someone else. I guess you could say that the sprites are big and detailed, but backgrounds are desperately empty. The gameplay is fine too, but I admit I’m really not a fan of Primal Rage. Then again, maybe I wasn’t the demographic the game was targeted to.
