Tamagotchi (Game Boy - Bandai - 1997 - FRA)

I have to admit that I had a Tamagotchi back in 1997. That was a lot of fun and when they saw a Game Boy version on the shelves, my parents immediately bought it for me. This Game Boy version changes a lot from the tiny LCD game (that I forgot to show you guys) mainly because you can’t really keep your Game Boy on 24/7. The experience is not quite the same, and sadly it is not as engaging as the original toy. The philosophy behind a Game Boy game is that the player is active, when the gameplay on the toy is more of a passive one. And on a game which lacks substance, being active at nothing can quickly be boring. That’s a shame because Tamagotchi on Game Boy is incredibly cute.
