About DC Comics
DC published Superman in Action Comics #1 in 1938 and effectively invented the superhero as a commercial form. Batman followed a year later, and between them they set the template every publisher since has argued with.
The shelf here leans Modern Age — Batman runs, Superman arcs and the prestige books of the eighties and nineties. Complete runs and first appearances are what move; everything else is a reading copy, and there is nothing wrong with that.
