Puppy Care: Orange Dog Yellow Hair Figure (Hornby, 1985)

In the 80s, after My Little Pony and Care Bears proved there was a huge market for "cute" toys, requiring children to treat them like pets almost, everybody wanted in, to varying degrees of succes. "Puppy Care" is the result of one of these efforts, by little known toy manufacturer "Hornby", which is mostly known for producing model trains. In the 80s though, they seemingly tried to rebrand themselves - and boy, are we glad they did, because these dogs are just amazing. That face just makes me laugh looking at it! This particular dog, was part of the last series of Puppy Care, and is hard to identify (they usually have names), as there is next to no info available online. Condition : Good/great!
