After the first mimic, the whole group changes. Before, a treasure chest was just good news. Now it's a threat. DM says: “You see an old chest in the corner.” And immediately the whole party goes on high alert. The Rogue will make a Perception check. The Wizard will cast magic. The Fighter will hit it with something long-range. And the player who was bitten by a mimic last is already a few steps back, heading away. It’s one of those experiences that sticks with you. Suddenly it’s no longer “cool loot” but more “okay, how is this chest trying to eat us?” Mimic 2 T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that a chest in a dungeon is never just a chest. Not when the DM describes it a little too calmly. This isn’t paranoia. This is experience. Nerdshop tip: Throw a stone at the suspicious treasure chest first. If it growls, it’s a mimic.
