After the first mimic, the whole group changes. In the past, a treasure chest was just good news. Now it’s a threat. DM says: “You see an old chest in the corner.” And instantly the whole party goes on high alert. The rogue will make a Perception check. The wizard will use magic. The fighter will strike at it from a distance with something long. And the player who was bitten by a mimic last is already a few steps back, moving away. It’s the kind of experience that sticks with you. Suddenly it’s no longer “cool, loot” but more “okay, how is this chest trying to eat us?” Mimic 2 T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that a chest in a dungeon is never just a chest. Not when the DM describes it a little too calmly. This isn’t paranoia. This is experience.
