In the middle of the room stands a treasure chest. No skeletons around it. No blood stains. No traps you can see. Just an ordinary chest, almost standing there waiting to be opened. DM says: “So… who will go up to it?” Suddenly no one wants to be at the front. Rogue will make a Perception check. Wizard will study it with magic. The Fighter suggests hitting it first. And the player who was last bitten by a mimic is already at the other end of the room. That’s the beauty of mimics: You only have to meet one. Then all chests become suspicious for the rest of the campaign. This Mimic T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that treasure chests do not necessarily contain loot. Sometimes you are the loot. Warning: When the treasure chest opens its mouth, forget loot. The Mimic has already ordered the starter.
