In the middle of the room stands a treasure chest. No skeletons around it. No bloodstains. No traps you can see. Just an ordinary chest, almost waiting to be opened. DM says: “So… who goes up to it?” Suddenly no one wants to go first. Rogue wants to make a Perception check. Wizard will investigate it with magic. The Fighter suggests striking it first. And the player who was last bitten by a mimic stands at the far end of the room. That’s the beauty of mimics: You only need to meet one. After that, all chests are suspicious for the rest of the campaign. This Mimic T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that treasure chests don’t necessarily contain loot. Sometimes you are the loot. Warning: Opening the treasure chest’s mouth, forget the loot. The mimic has already ordered the starter.
