In the middle of the room stands a treasure chest. No skeletons around it. No bloodstains. No traps you can see. Just an ordinary chest, practically waiting to be opened. DM says: “So… who’s going to approach it?” Suddenly no one wants to go first. Rogue wants to make a Perception check. Wizard will examine it with magic. Fighter suggests hitting it first. And the player who was last bitten by a mimic already stands at the other end of the room. That’s the beauty of mimics: You only have to meet one. After that, all chests become suspicious for the rest of the campaign. This Mimic T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that treasure chests don’t necessarily contain loot. Sometimes you are the loot. Warning: Open the treasure chest’s mouth, then forget loot. The mimic has already ordered the starter course.
