Venusaur vs Beedrill Duel Mega Construx Figures

The Mega Construx Venusaur vs Beedrill Duel is complete! The main sell here is Venusaur but let’s look at Beedrill first. It’s a medium sized figure that’s rather boring. It does have the neat custom wings but that’s where the neat stuff about it ends, they took the liberty of making the tips of its drills green instead of just leaving them solid gray. Its articulation is very limited so his poses are ridiculously limited for a monster who’s supposed to have a lot of range of movements. It looks okay at best but let’s move on to the star, Venusaur. They went all out for this one. The finished monster is so good, and lots of attention to detail has been exercised. Though Venusaur by nature is limited in his movements, so is his articulation, however, Mega went and gave him a set of shooters hidden in his leaves, but also made the leaves and his flower articulated! You can move the leaf flaps up and down to your liking. You can also do the same with the flower petals as well as position them however you want via ball joints. Additionally the trunk of the flower can spin allowing for a myriad of positions. The vine whips are stacked underneath the flower and can too move around a limited amount and are made out of bendy flexible plastic. Additionally you can open and close his mouth and rotate his head. This beastly Construx took me several hours to build and proved to be the longest and most challenging build to date. But I’m extremely irritated that he is gigantic compared to Blastoise and Charizard when displayed together. He makes Blastoise look pathetic and Charizard look like a bite sized snack when it is Venusaur who’s supposed to be the smallest of the three. I hope we get beefier bulkier variations of Charizard and Blastoise to meet Venusaur’s level of detail. I give this release 4 out of 5 stars, get it, you’ll be happy with it
