Necrozma 12" WCT Figure

Let’s have a look at the 12” Necrozma figure by @wickedcooltoys. WCT has done a great job with this sculpt despite all of Necrozma’s intricacies like its geometric shapes and odd proportions. They had good foresight in giving Necrozma locking shoulder joints that can rotate along 360 degrees and hold the position you lock them into. This is a great feature because Necrozma’s heavy forearms would have swung down without it. This allows you to position its arms in any angle without worrying about the arms moving. Its arms can also swivel up and down though it’s limited and the lock feature doesn’t hold that range of movement. Necrozma is also articulated at its hips via ball joints, however there is no locking mechanism present here and its legs often pop out if you exceed its range of movement, which isn’t very wide. In my time spent with it, it happened more often than I would have liked it to. I discovered that the sockets aren’t a perfect ball shape but a bit cut off allowing for the ball joints to come off easily. The shoulders and hips are the extent of this figure’s articulations though you can achieve a lot of poses with those limitations. WCT packs this figure with a really nice stand. It’s got a large sturdy base with a peg that features a hook on the top. This hook slides into the back of the figure with a good amount of force and stays put! It’s pretty unusual but this stand works well. I purposefully dropped it while on the stand and it did not come off! In terms of presentation, Necrozma looks good in its matte black finish though there were noticeable smudges that would just not come off. The gradient details along the protrusions of its hands are nice, and the solid colors on its face and head are good. All in all this figure is great for active play as well as display with lots of posable possibilities but with a bit of frustration on its hips and annoying smudges. I give this figure 4 out of 5 stars, get it, you’ll be happy with it!
