Pioneer PL-510A: manual machine - direct drive. Manual means that you have to guide the arm onto the record yourself and lift the arm back to the holder after playing a side. Built solidly in a beautiful 1970s furniture design that oozes class - truly a cuddle that is not easy to break. A masterpiece from somewhere between 1976 and 1979 with few and small visible wear marks, but nothing that affects the sound. Even the dust cover is in unusually beautiful and fairly good condition, almost untouched by time. I have cleaned, adjusted, oiled, and pampered the mechanism and cleaned contacts and push buttons so everything works completely and as if new. It has a floating sub-chassis suspension, which makes it reasonably resistant to feedback from high-powered speakers and from dancing guests :-) It costs 1800 kr as it sits with a functioning but very worn pick-up (ortofon VMS 20 E MKII) for which fortunately a new stylus can still be purchased. It costs 2200 kr if I am to install a new and good Audio Technica AT-95 pick-up. Weight: 8 kilos
