”The Commuter” is a fast-moving and nicely paced action thriller and the fourth collaboration between Liam Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Sera. The first half of the story is definitely the strongest part of the film, as it reminds me more of an old-school mystery with almost Hitchcock-ish elements to it. Unfortunately the film quickly turns into your avarage action thriller that’s admittedly entertaining and fun to watch, but also quite predictable and a formulaic. Liam Neeson is convinsing as always and there’s plenty of enjoyable moments of tension and a few good action scenes as you might expect. I personally would’ve loved to see something completely unexpected for a change though... All in all ”The Commuter” is good fun from start to finish but I couldn’t help myself thinking that I’ve seen this film one too many times already😊 RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
