Transformers Minibots G1 GEARS

So I picked up this G1 GEARS on ebay as I’m a totes slut for G1 Minibots. Despite my reasonably deep knowledge TF history I have no idea if this is a legit G1, a re-issue or a KO. If it is a KO it’s a bloody good one as the quality is fantastic. It does have a Takara date stamp on it but that may not mean anything. Happy to take advice as to what I may have. The chrome is in such good condition that it looks too good to be 35 years old. Either way, I’m glad to have him as he’s been a noteable absentee in my Minibot army.
