@damo1z Gifted me this old Porsche 930 as a RAOK. It’s a metal on metal model but had seen better days. The paint was f*cked and one of the A Pillars was bent. But the bones were there and the tampo’s in really nice nik. So rather than strip and repaint it I thought I’d just fix the A Pillar and bang some Real Riders on. It proved a bit of a task as the interiors on these old models don’t always help to hold the axles in place so once you cut the tabs which hold the old axles down, you’re a bit screwed. So I took the interior of a donor Ford Transit and created some axle supports from scratch. It may not look pretty inside but it gets the job done. The white powdery stuff in the pics is Bi-Carb Soda which I use to make the super glue cure instantly. It works great and allows you to file and shape the new plastic straight away. Anyway, this may not be to everyone’s taste but she rolls great and I dig the old school play-worn pattina. Cheers for the car, mate. Was a fun challenge.
