Tonight I watched "Murder on the Orient Express". I had some very mixed emotions after watching this film. I liked the visual style, it has a stellar cast and the overall execution is on point. However for someone who just finished reading Agatha Christie's original novel the changes in the story felt a bit weird and some of them quite unnecessary. I also had some issues with the pacing in the second act and eventhough Kenneth Branagh does a solid performance in the lead role I propably would've picked someone else as Hercule Poirot. This is not a bad movie by any means but my mind is so focused on the original novel at the moment that I wasn't able to fully enjoy it😊
