Blue Bolt 110 1951

Blue Bolt 110 1951 LBCole classic. Tough to find and subsequently acquire in decent grade. Only 23 graded copies exist and only 7 graded higher. One of my favorites in the run and one of my favorite covers overall. Cover by L. B. Cole. Stories and art by Alan Mandel, Bill O'Connor, Ben Flinton, Leonard Sansone, Ken Battefield and Basil Wolverton. L. B. Cole's Star Publications takes over the Blue Bolt series, and as the superhero craze wanes, Blue Bolt becomes a backup feature to Dick Cole in his own title. Blue Bolt suspects that a series of natural disasters targeting the Allied powers is the work of his old foe, the subterranean Green Sorceress. The Phantom Sub must protect the governor of the Mahatmas Islands as he travels across the oceans to the Pentagon on WWII business, but Axis forces are close behind. A Spacehawk adventure by Basil Wolverton, as Spacehawk faces Dr. Gore and the menace known as the Blazing Death. Also featuring a "Night on Bald Mountain" Spacehawk cover by L. B. Cole, as the title prepares to switch to a horror comic with the following issue. Blue Bolt; Sub-Zero; Phantom Sub; Hidden Horror; Target; Spacehawk. https://facebook.com/theembassycollection
