The “pre code” references the time before there was a comic code of ethics in the upper right corner of comics. The code was a means of self regulation for the comic book industry in response to the senate hearings (SOTI) that condemned the horror depictions that were gaining traction in comic books of that era. A dramatic turn away from horror followed. Many of the books were destroyed or discarded which is part of the reason that these books can be so rare. This one was another trade pickup from my buddy at @topcitycomics Stories and art by Matt Baker and Robert Webb.
