Perfect Dark (Nintendo 64 - Rare - 2000 - EUR)

An incredible game that might be too big for the system. You can see the N64’s limitations, even with the RAM pack installed: the game’s various graphic effects are really demanding on the frame rate, but at least it’s gorgeous. Now between GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, I think I prefer the last one. I absolutely loved spending some time in the empty Carrington Institute (loved its soundtrack too, gives me chills), the solo campaign was tough but enjoyable and the weapons are all amazing. As usual, some of them are to be banned in multiplayer modes, like the FarSight that sees and shoots through walls, but I don’t remember playing Perfect Dark with my friends as much as GoldenEye: they were already playing on Dreamcast at the time.
