Captain Flash (May 1955) The Sterling series which resurrected the superhero genre and started the Silver Age of comics. DC afraid of losing the "Flash" name trademark brought back their Flash character 8 months later after the last issue of Captain Flash. DC being the industry giant of the time and after witnessing the popularity of the decision falsely claimed it was Showcase to begin the Superhero Silver Age of comics
