Probably the rarest Nintendo system out there, and one of the most curious consoles to ever see the light of day. Get ready to experience a very… unique take on VR, where everything is red or black, and the 3D effects are more of an afterthought rather than a feature. But hey, this system has the best Wario Land, so it’s totally worth it - even if it’ll make you blind when you play for more than 20 minutes. This is the Japanese version, but the system is region free and will play US games as well. Condition: Box = okay. Console = great. PLEASE NOTE: Since the Virtual Boy is a very fragile system, our 6 month retro gaming warranty will not cover this item, and if you choose to get it shipped, we will not accept any returns in case the system should break during shipping. We’ve had a few of these, and unfortunately it does happen, due to some terribly finicky cables connecting the display. We have however done what we can to prevent this; the cables connecting the LDC monitor to the board, has been replaced and soldered by a professional. This is a expensive mod, so you're getting more than your money's worth!

The Dreamcast landed in North America with a launch lineup that actually mattered, a 128-bit Hitachi SH-4 CPU, and a built-in 56k modem nobody else was brave enough to bundle. It was the first console of the sixth generation, and it beat the PlayStation 2 to market by more than a year. And then it was gone. Sega pulled the plug on hardware in early 2001, barely 18 months into

  • Market InsightsWhy FPGA Consoles Are Quietly Eating the Retro MarketAsk anyone who tried to buy an original Super Nintendo last year and they'll tell you the same thing: a decent boxed console isn't the casual pickup it was five years ago. Loose consoles still turn up cheap, but clean examples with the right cables and a working RGB-capable board have crept steadily upward. And here's the thing collectors are only now admitting out loud — a growing chunk of players have stopped chasing the original hardware altogether. The reason is sitting on a lot of shelves
