In the middle of the room stands a treasure chest. No skeletons around it. No bloodstains. No traps you can see. Just an ordinary chest, almost waiting to be opened. The DM says: “So… who’s going to it?” Suddenly no one wants to be at the front. The Rogue wants to make a Perception check. The Wizard will examine it with magic. The Fighter suggests striking it first. And the player who was last bitten by a mimic is already at the other end of the room. That’s the beauty of mimics: you only have to meet one. Then all chests become suspicious for the rest of the campaign. This Mimic T-shirt is for the role-player who has learned that treasure chests do not necessarily contain loot. Sometimes you are the loot. Warning: When the treasure chest opens its mouth, forget loot. The Mimic has already ordered the starter course.
