Reissued Lugia Bandai Plastic Model (Plamo) figure

Let’s have a closer look at the reissued Lugia Bandai Plastic Model (Plamo) figure. This reissue was prompted by Lugia’s appearance in the upcoming Power of Us movie. Lugia’s simplistic design makes for an easy to build model. The box contains two bags of parts, a sticker sheet, and clear instructions. As with any of Bandai’s big sets, there is a mechanical feature that is typically the most difficult part to put together, however with Lugia, it’s wing flapping capability connected to its neck articulation is on the easier side to put together and understand. One of the most challenging parts is placing the stickers in its mouth. I recommend tweezers or if you prefer, paint those features on yourself with a fine brush and acrylic paints. The finished figure is highly articulated and versatile. He’s capable of moving his legs at the hips and ankles. His tail can be rotated so it’s facing backward or forward to accomplish two different aerial poses and comes with two stands to display them. Lastly its able to open and close its jaw. My only issue with this model is the unsightly seam that goes around its back plates which is a shame because the plates are made out of a nice flexible soft rubber and perfectly molded. They are one of Lugia’s most appealing features, you’ll want to hide them from view. At around $12 shipped, this model is a great option for a figure with lots of versatility in a larger size. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, get it, you’ll be happy with it!
