Before it took over the world during the pandemic, this game was incredibly niche, and few understood it - but for the few that did, it was like having a portable break from reality, that would allow you to escape into a carefree, cute world, whenever you please. Personally, I have (Mathias) been playing AC since the Gamecube version, so I was super into the DS version - but it hasn't aged as well as some of the other entries, unfortunately.
