A modernized adventure: Star Fox is based on Lylat Wars and offers a complete visual overhaul that fully exploits the strengths and performance of Nintendo Switch 2. Explore planets around the world and the interior of a star fog in the Lylat system, from the lively Corneria world to the desolate, polluted gardens of Zoness. There are also brand-new cinematic cutscenes with fully voiced dialogue and unprecedented mission briefings between tracks, where you can learn even more about the characters and worlds that make up the Star Fox universe. Intense Space Combat: Jump into your Arwing, a high-performance space fighter, and use laser beams to take down enemy forces. You can also brake in the air to shake enemies off you, activate a boost for extra propulsion, perform a somersault and do barrel rolls to defend yourself against incoming fire. New and Returning Game Modes: Star Fox offers a range of features, including: Campaign Mode: Travel to a wide range of planets, navigate through asteroid fields, and participate in free-flight aerial battles. Choose between Easy or Normal difficulty at the start and refine your skills to earn all the medals needed to unlock Expert mode. The objectives you complete, the enemies you defeat, and other actions you take can alter your route and what you do on each stage. Taking different routes can also affect the stages you encounter on your way through the system, so there’s always a reason to revisit each mission. Challenge Mode: Play the stages you’ve completed again and complete a series of new goals and challenges, some of which aren’t found in Campaign Mode. The challenges are available in Normal or Expert difficulty. Battle Mode: Gather your team to compete in all-new 4-on-4 aerial battles with up to eight players distributed between Team Star Fox and Team Star Wolf. This mode features three arenas with different objectives: take control of a designated zone on Corneria, collect energy crystals on Fichina, or retrieve cargo from space pirates in Sector Y. Participate in team battles online via private matches or play against players from near and far. With Gameshare, up to four players can easily fly together either locally or online via GameChat. While GameShare online is only available for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, local GameShare allows sharing compatible games with both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch consoles. Additional Nintendo Switch 2 Features: Joy-Con 2 Mouse Control: If you’re playing the game solo in Campaign Mode and/or Challenge Mode, you can easily switch between button and mouse control with the Joy-Con 2 controller. The mouse control feature enables more intuitive aiming, and if a friend joins, either on the same system or via GameShare via GameChat, they can take on the gunner’s duties while you focus on flying, or vice versa. GameChat Character Avatars and AR Accessories: Act as Fox McCloud or any of his crew members while chatting with friends using an interactive avatar that mirrors your expressions and movements in GameChat. With the game’s AR accessories, you can also add a pair of Star Fox-like ears or a Falco-inspired beak that moves when you speak.
