”Escape from L.A.” VHS

Just rewatched ”Escape from L.A.”. John Carpenter’s sequel to his 1981 classic is definitely bigger and more over the top but not as captivating as the original. There’s a whole bunch of fun moments and cool action scenes but the story doesen’t have the same charisma we saw in ”Escape from New York”. I also wish they didn’t use so much CGI as some of it looks really dated even by mid 90’s standards. It’s not a classic but most certainly worth checking out. I’m still keeping my hopes up for a sequel with Kurt Russell returning as Snake Plissken!😊
