Just finished watching ”Explorers”. Joe Dante’s mid 80’s scifi/adventure comedy is an enjoyable but fairly unbalanced experience that has a lot of fun moments but it also feels a little disorienting and poorly narrated at times. Despite its shortcomings I really loved the lighthearted tone of the film and the characters are quite likeable too. Overall ”Explorers” is a fun movie but it had potential to be a lot better and that’s propably one of the reasons it’s not as widely appreciated as many other 80’s adventure comedies😊
