So I finally got around to checking out Rian Johnson’s newest feature, the Clue inspired mystery whodunnit, Knives Out. I’m a massive fan of Johnson (yes, including the divisive The Last Jedi), so I’m always happy to see whatever he’s doing next. I really enjoyed this one. It wasn’t anything insanely new or mind boggling, but wow did it have style! I could watch the cast he put together read out of the phone book, but to see pretty much all of them playing these awful people, all scheming and manipulating and desperate was a blast. I would absolutely love to see Daniel Crag’s character take on a kind of Poirot role in future films, and mean more heavily into what makes him tick. How about all of you?
