Hey all! Just had to jump on really quick before the end of the day to post this extremely original, never been conceived before the current moment post about my newly acquired copy of Uncut Gems. I’m extremely stoked to check this one out, both given its rave acclaim over the last few months, as well as it being the newest feature from the Safdie brothers. Their last film Good Time was a seedy, slick, at times genuinely disturbing, always engrossing crime thriller, and was one of my favorite films of 2017. I have intentionally avoided all trailers and plot synopses for Uncut Gems, and am going in completely blind. I have zero doubt this is going to be another banger, but how about all of you?
