Okay, moving right along with the Mad Max marathon, up next we have the all time post apocalyptic action classic, The Road Warrior. While Mad Max was a story of a man fixated on revenge while living at the edge of a collapsing society, and despite the impressive amount of death and automobile mayhem, was fairly small scale, intimate experience. The Road Warrior is set an indefinite amount of time post societal collapse, and George Miller created one of the most manic, energetic, fascinating visions of a world gone mad. See what I did there? Mel Gibson at the peak of his young career, a desolate and bleak wasteland setting populated by some of the most colorful characters you could imagine. Epic story, intimate moments, large scale vehicular madness, iconic enemies... this movie literally has EVERYTHING. One of my favorites for sure 🔥 🤘🔥
